Meal and Rest Period Violations

If you are an hourly employee, your employer is required to give you 2 ten minute rest breaks for every shift between 6 and 10 hours and 3 rest breaks for every shift of 12 hours or more.  Your employer is also required to provide a 30 minute uninterrupted, offsite meal period before you reach the 5 hour mark of your shift.  If you work a shift of 12 hours or more your employer must provide you with a second meal period before the 10 hour mark of your shift.  If your employer has violated any of this rules, please contact me so I can properly advise on and assess your case.
